Educator. Innovator. Entrepreneur. Founder of Keys 2 the Lexis.
Benjamin R. Moore III, Ph.D.

Dr. Benjamin R. Moore III, an Atlanta native, is the visionary founder of Keys 2 the Lexis (K2theL), a linguistics mastery system designed to unlock the power of words through science, art, and innovation. His work bridges advanced literacy instruction with multimodal performing arts, cinematic-quality digital media, and AI-powered learning tools, creating a bold new frontier for language education.

A Scholar's Path: Academic Foundations

Dr. Moore’s academic journey began at Georgia State University, where he earned his B.A. and M.A. in Applied Linguistics, with minors in English and African American Studies, before completing his Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Language and Literacy in 2021, essentially making him the quintessential Linguistics and Literacy Pedagogist. His doctoral research formalized Keys 2 the Lexis (K2theL) as a pedagogical methodology, integrating the science of reading with creative expression and digital arts to reimagine how language is taught, learned, and lived.

From Grief to Greatness:
The Heart behind the Work

K2theL was already growing when tragedy struck in 2015 with the loss of Dr. Moore’s daughter, Leilani. In the wake of grief, the program became his foundation, a lifeline that anchored purpose amid heartbreak. It gave him focus, direction, and a reason to keep creating. Through teaching and innovation, he found healing in the same work designed to uplift others. K2theL evolved from a vision into a vessel of resilience, reminding Dr. Moore that words can rebuild, restore, and renew possibility for every student it touches and for himself.

From Theory to Practice:
The Architecture of Impact
Dr. Moore’s work bridges scholarship, innovation, and community impact. Throughout his graduate and doctoral studies, he held assistantships in literacy, multilingual education, and entrepreneurship, including the Urban Literacy Collaborative and Clinic, the Center for Transnational and Multilingual Education, and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department (ENI). His work at the intersection of linguistics literacy pedagogy and entrepreneurship earned him recognition as an ENI spotlight student founder.

As an adjunct professor in Georgia State University’s ENI Department, Dr. Moore teaches aspiring entrepreneurs to merge academic rigor with creative innovation, mirroring his own journey with Keys 2 the Lexis. Through K2theL, he secured commercial contracts with dozens of early learning centers and educational facilities across metro Atlanta, delivering dynamic literacy instruction, educator training, and tutoring programs that transform classrooms into spaces of linguistic exploration for hundreds of students, educators, administrators, and parents.
